Thanks. That is the best diagram I have seen still, just I notwithstanding cannot notice that battery abiding. I even tested the remaining wires with a multi-meter with the key out and still no luck. And then I was wondering if I could use a bit of heavier wire direct from the positive side of the battery back through the firewall?

So you lot do not have that color wire? Has the stock radio wire harness been cutting before or something?
Tuesday, May quaternary, 2010 AT 9:55 PM
They are all there, but I tin can simply find twelve volts coming from the black with pink stripe wire with the key on.

Try hooking your yellowish wire to the trucks cigar lighter. That should work. Your stock radio may not have been wired to remain on with key off.

Volition I however have use of that lighter socket?
Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 AT 10:19 PM
Aye, I could however check the the time on information technology and prepare the clock and my presets would remain.

Okay, just wondering because my truck does non work if I remove key.
Anyways, yes do not remove the wire from the lighter, but splice into information technology and the lighter will still work fine.

How do I properly hook up my new CD thespian?

You go to the stereo supply store and buy the correct "plug and play" adapter cablevision. Exercise not hack upwardly the wiring harness.

Installed a dual XDM6350 radio using wire harnesses. If I hook up the radio illumination wire (solid orange) to constant power the radio works if lights are off. If I claw the wire to switched power, it only works when lights are on, tried every combination I can think of but cannot seem to get constant power no matter what. Likewise, when orange is hooked to the constant, I accept no dash lights. Whatsoever suggestions?

Hi Page13,
Thank you for the donation.
What is your original radio specs, base of operations or premium (with amplifier)?
From both types of radio wiring schematics, I am not able to detect any solid orangish wire.
Do yous take the wiring schematics for the new radio that you have installed?
